Cardmaking day to be celebrated

St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., will be the site of a World Cardmaking Day celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Participants will make get-well cards for patients at Akron Children’s Hospital. The cards will be blessed Sunday and delivered to the hospital.

In addition to making cards there will be a variety of make-and-take projects, and participants can shop for stamping tools and supplies, handmade cards and papercrafts.
