Want to belong to Mensa? Testing takes place soon
Staff report
HOWLAND
October is Mensa Testing Month, and the organization is offering a 50 percent discount off the regular $40 fee to all candidates testing from Wednesday through Oct. 31.
East Central Ohio Mensa will administer a local Mensa Admission Test at a cost of $20 from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Howland Public Library, 9095 E. Market St.
The minimum age is 14, and all candidates must bring a photo ID. Two tests will be administered with a short break between them. The session will last approximately two hours. A score at or above the 98th percentile on either of the two tests is a qualifying score for membership in Mensa.
For information, prospective members may call proctor coordinator Marilyn Carpenter at 330-538-3263 or email mscarpenter330@yahoo.com.
The only qualification for Mensa membership is a score in the top two percent of the general population on an accepted, standardized intelligence test.
