GARDEN CLUBS


WEDNESDAY

Mahoning will meet at noon for a sack lunch and program at the Davis Center, Kidston Classroom. Kathy Lingerfelter will present “Putting Your Garden to Sleep.” Hostesses will be Dee Didden and Marilyn Chiu.

THURSDAY

Austintown Sweetbrier will meet for “Fairy Gardens” program with hostess Chris Finch.

Mignonette will meet at 11 a.m. at the home of Liz Andraso, 1888 Brookfield Road SE, Hubbard, for an “Autumn Gourd Basket” program. Meet at Perkins Restaurant in Canfield at 10 a.m. to carpool. Lunch will be at Squaw Creek Country Club at 1 p.m. Guests are welcome.

St. Charles will meet at 7 p.m. in the St. Matthew Room of the Ministries Building. Lenore Banks will present many ways to use scarves and have fun with snap its. Take a guest.

UPCOMING

Garden Club of Ohio Inc., Youngstown District, will meet Oct. 14 at the Davis Center, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m., and the meeting will take place at 10. Mandy Smith, education manager of Riverside Garden at Mill Creek, will present “Herbs and Essences” at 10:30. Lunch will be served at noon, and Shirley Griffin will present “Closets Full of Clothes — Nothing to Wear” at 1 p.m. The meeting will adjourn at 2. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers, due by Oct. 7.
