Family dinner celebrates Durdas’ 50th

AUSTINTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Dave J. Durda of Austintown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Sept. 12 at Cafe 422 in Warren. It was hosted by their children.

Their children are David D. (Stacy) Durda of Canfield and Amy M. (Jeff) Cleer of Bristolville. They also have four grandchildren, Arianna, David, Madison and Chloe.

The former Alice M. Babyak and Mr. Durda were married Sept. 12, 1964, at Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Durda retired in 2005 as secretary of Immaculate Heart of Mary School.

Mr. Durda retired in 1998 from General Motors in Lordstown. He is a member of Knights of Columbus and is a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1960 to 1962. He attained the rank of E5 and was a second class pipefitter.

The couple are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

The family also celebrated their anniversary with a family vacation to Myrtle Beach in July.
