Clegg receives Pillars’ accolades

The board of Stambaugh Pillars honored Leland Clegg as a life member emeritus at a recent board meeting. Clegg, 93, has been an active member of the Pillars Board for more than 20 years and served as chairman from 2003 to 2005.

Clegg was recognized for his past service, dedication and contributions to the Pillars in their support of Stambaugh Auditorium.

He was honored with a luncheon, celebratory cake and thank-you gift for his years of service. Pillars Chairman Karl Roach spoke briefly to honor Clegg.

The Pillars have just completed the second annual Band at the Baugh concert series in support of the auditorium. Upcoming fundraisers will be the 17th annual Holiday Fashion Show on Nov. 5 and the opera dinner before Opera Western Reserve’s presentation of “Don Giovanni” on Nov. 14.
