Gamma Pi Chapter hosts fall social

The Gamma Pi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International had its Fall Social dinner on Sept. 15. The event took place at A La Cart Catering on Lisbon St. in Canfield.

Members donated school supplies as September’s service project. Supplies will go to a needed classroom of a member attending the Fall Social. Upcoming events and plans for the year were discussed. Outgoing President, Susan Harris, presented centerpieces and thank-you cards to her 2013-14 Officers and Committee Chairs.

Gamma Pi will join other Societies in the area on Oct. 15 for the Joint Chapter Dinner Meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. with dinner is at 6 p.m. The topic will be, “Autumn’s Grace.”

The next Gamma Pi Chapter meeting will be Nov. 10 at the Lecture Hall of the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center at 6:30 p.m. The Service Project is Children’s Books and this will be a strategic planning meeting.
