YSU names interim STEM dean


YOUNGSTOWN — Gregg Sturrus, chairman of Youngstown State University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy, will serve as interim dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Sturrus will replace Martin Abraham, who has been named interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.

In addition, James Andrews, professor of physics and astronomy, will become acting department chairman. Teri Riley, interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, will become senior associate provost.

The changes will become effective Oct. 8 following approval by YSU trustees.
