DIVISION III BOYS

NEWTON FALLS

Warren JFK’s Ryan Fowler earned medalist honors to help the Eagles capture the Division III title at Riverview Golf Course. Fowler shot a 67 and teammate Daniel LaPolla had a 77 as JFK finished with a score of 318. Jacob Harrah shot a 75 and teammate Zachery Berry had a 78 as Newton Falls was second with 323. Nick Householder shot a 74 to help Jackson-Milton finish third with 334, capturing the final district qualifying berth. St. John’s Mike Zullo (82), Rootstown’s Evan Chapple (84) and Mathews’ Ryan Kay (84) qualified as individuals for the district meet, which will be held at Tannehauf on Oct. 1.

DIVISION II GIRLS

HUBBARD

Alexa Tringhese shot an 89 and teammate Ally Moreschi made 89 to lead Columbiana to the Division II title at Pine Lakes Golf Club. The Clippers had 370, followed by Warren JFK (381), Cardinal Mooney (390) and Hubbard (411). The top four teams advance to next week’s district tournament at Tam O’Shanter. Alexis Eddy shot 92 and Taylor Vassis 93 to lead JFK. Mooney’s Cait Butler took medalist honors with 84, while Frankie Strollo had 86. Skylar Ladig had a 91 for Hubbard. Ursuline’s Sydney Heinbaugh (88), Crestview’s Taylor Coblentz (90), Mathews’ Emily Koehler (90) and Mineral Ridge’s Kim Schilling (91) qualified as individuals.
