Premiere of ‘Walk Abreast’ at Victorian

“Walk Abreast,” a play written and directed by local author-actor C. Richard Haldi, will gets its premiere Friday at Victorian Players Theater.

The play focuses on a woman named Elizabeth who leads a busy life and is diagnosed with breast cancer.

How she handles it is the basis of the story, in which love and support is obtained from unexpected sources.

The premiere coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Elizabeth is played by Lynda McGrath, and Haldi plays her husband, Bud. Rounding out the cast are Auggie Heschmeyer, Brandi Hughes, Gerri Jenkins, Anita Weinstock and Karen Gagliano. Erik Dragos is stage manager.

“Walk Abreast” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again Oct. 3 and 4 and 2 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 5.
