“Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks,SDRq a new comedy by Richard Alfieri, directed by Terri Wilkes, Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown, auditions 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. “Six Dance Lessons” centers on Lily, an aging but formidable retiree who hires Michael Minetti, an acerbic dance instructor, to give her dance lessons in her condo. The role of Lily is filled, but the director still needs a male age 20 to 40 to play Minetti. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. A callback may be scheduled. ”Nuncrackers [The Nunsense Christmas Musical],SDRq a holiday musical-comedy production directed by Joanna Andrei, Salem Community Theater, 490 E. State St., Salem. Youth and adult auditions will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, and adults only at 6 p.m. Monday. Actors should come prepared with a song (an accompanist will be provided), to read from a script and interact with others. Needed are four principal women, one man and four to five children, approximately age 8 to 14. Rehearsals will begin in mid-October. Performances will be weekends from Dec. 5-14.
