TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50, and they will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers are provided.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages will be available for a donation. SUNDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road SW, Newton Falls, will serve pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. The meals include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts are available.

Price Memorial AME Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Youngstown, will have a Feast of Salads from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.

St. Lucy Cultural Society of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Palermo Center, 304 Tenney Ave., Campbell. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Patrons should take their own containers for takeouts.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, is sponsoring an open pit roast beef dinner with homemade desserts from noon to 3 p.m. The prices are $9 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for kids 4 and under. The dinner is sponsored by the Altar Guild.

Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a pork and kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The price of $8.75 includes dessert and coffee, tea or pop. Takeouts will be available. Children’s meals will be $5.

TAKING ORDERS

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will sell stuffed cabbage takeout dinners from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8. Dinners, which are $8.50, include mashed potatoes, green beans and applesauce. Stuffed cabbage rolls also will be sold by the dozen for $16 or half-dozen for $8. UPCOMING

Daughters of Sts. Peter and Paul and Holy Apostles Parish, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will host a breakfast buffet Oct. 12 in the church social hall. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the prices are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. For tickets call Darlene Litch at 330-750-6104; no tickets will be sold at the door.

Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell takeout cavatelli dinners from 3 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out Oct.1. The dinner will include homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will be $5. Homemade pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 per quart and homemade pasta sauce for $5 per quart. Place your order and remain in your car. The order will be delivered to you.
