Family members say foul play is suspected in the disappearance of 37-year-old Ramon Kimbrough, who was last seen Thursday on Winona Drive in Youngstown.
Kimbrough is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.
Anyone with information about Kimbrough’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Struthers Police Department at 330-755-9849.
Preparedness month
BROOKFIELD
The Brookfield Local School District is recognizing September as National Preparedness Month and preparing for any safety concerns in its district by installing a new security system in its buildings.
The district will have a conference at 9 a.m. Monday in the auditorium of Brookfield High School, 614 Bedford Road. During the presentation, the district will overview its partnership with local first responders and Foremost Safety Solutions Inc. and the implantation of “Securing Our Students,” a patented emergency colorized navigational system created by Foremost. This new technology was developed by Dr. James Morentz, a homeland security technology consultant, and allows local emergency management, school officials and first responders to have access to the school’s blueprints, crisis management plans and more via a computer or wireless device.
The conference will allow attendees to see a hands-on demonstration of the new technology.
2 years on sex charges
WARREN
A 58-year-old former business manager for Humility of Mary Health Partners was sentenced to two years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to seven child-pornography charges.
Robert E. Sillitoe Jr. of Roberts Lane Northeast, pleaded guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to five counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. He could have gotten more than 30 years in prison.
The charges allege Sillitoe downloaded child pornography from the Internet and copied or shared the files. He has been in the Trumbull County jail since his arrest in April, unable to post $50,000 bond.
Museum closed

The Oh Wow! Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St., will be closed through Friday for general cleaning and repairs. The museum reopens at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Vandalism reported
BOARDMAN
Concerned citizens reported to police that juveniles had vandalized Mahoning County road signs at 7:14 p.m. Sunday near Brookwood Road. Witnesses told police the teens had spray-painted both a 35 mph and a no-truck sign gold. Police arrived at the scene not long after the call was made and saw several juveniles with a can of opened spray paint on the ground by the sign.
Police sent a 13-year-old Campbell girl to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center on charges of criminal damaging.
Man, 43, arrested
CAMPBELL
City police arrested a 43-year-old man on charges of breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools, trespassing and resisting arrest early Sunday, after reports of a someone behind an apartment building in the 3800 block of Murray Avenue.
The man, identified as Bryant Keith Wills, was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown for treatment after his arrest; he had cuts and lacerations on his face and hands.
Police responded to the area shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, and heard the sounds of breaking glass, which turned out to be from the rear kitchen window of a vacant apartment. Wills, who police say appeared to be highly intoxicated, was spotted inside the apartment and arrested.
Accused of threats
AUSTINTOWN
A Niles man accused of threatening to “shoot everyone” at his workplace has a jury trial date set.
Michael J. Rickard, 21, of Niles, will have a final pretrial Oct. 6 in Mahoning County Area Court before a jury trial 9 a.m. Oct. 31. Rickard faces two misdemeanor charges, aggravated menacing and inducing panic, from the incident in late July where he made the threat after an altercation with a fellow employee at Pure Foods, 340 Victoria Road.
Rickard was in court Monday for a pretrial hearing.
Farmers market

The Warren Farmers Market will continue from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 7 at Courthouse Square.

Man shot in hip, leg
WARREN
An 18-year-old Willard Avenue man suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and leg Friday night on Brier Street Southeast.
The man said he was walking on Brier Street near Duke Avenue Southeast when the shooting occurred at 10:59 p.m. The man was uncooperative with police, but his injury consisted of a gunshot to the hip that traveled down and out his leg. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Burton is the same street where three men were shot last week, but the detective said he doesn’t believe Friday’s shooting is related to the earlier gunfire on Burton.
Facing drug charges
BOARDMAN
Police arrested Brian McGuire, 47, of Boardman on Saturday evening on charges of drug and paraphernalia possession and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. They also cited him for having no license plates on his PT Cruiser.
Police saw McGuire drive into the grass on South Avenue close to a church and stopped to talk to him. Police immediately smelled the odor of marijuana coming from McGuire’s car and saw a bag with suspected marijuana in it, then made the arrest. Police also said McGuire has had four other OVI convictions and has a criminal history.
