City election forum Wednesday night

YOUNGSTOWN — The 7th Ward Citizens Coalition will have a candidates and issues forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the D.D. & Velma Davis Center at Mill Creek MetroPark’s Fellows Riverside Gardens.

The event includes presentations on three Youngstown charter-amendment proposals — ward redistricting, the anti-fracking Community Bills of Rights, and merging the community development and economic development departments — and the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County levy on the Nov. 4 ballot.

Also, candidates running for Mahoning County Probate Court judge and county auditor as well as for a seat on the 7th District Court of Appeals are scheduled to attend. Anita Rios, Green Party gubernatorial candidate, will also be at the forum.
