Trumbull County Prosecutor Dennis Watkins is opposing parole for William Judson, 48, convicted in 1993 of two counts of rape.
Judson was living in Fowler Township when the assaults began in 1981, but they continued through 1986, when he and his family lived on state Route 305 in Champion Township. His victim was between age 5 and 9. Judson was between age 15 and 20 when the assaults took place.
Judge Mitchell Shaker of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court sentenced Judson to 15 to 50 years in prison. Judson was paroled in 2009 after serving 16 years of his sentence, but he committed a theft offense a short time later and was sent back to prison.
“Having been diagnosed as having an antisocial personality disorder and other character defects by a forensic expert ... this man will, especially at age 48, present upon his release from prison, a strong likelihood of re-offending and will be a clear danger to children wherever he goes,” Watkins wrote in a letter to the Adult Parole Authority.
Judson’s parole hearing is scheduled for October.
