First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will feature a free series to help answer questions on issues relating to aging and end of life. Featured speakers for Sept. 28 are Jamie Mash Ervin from Park Vista Retirement Community on retirement living options and Dorothy Barto, director of the Alzheimer Network. First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 201 Wick Ave., will host a panel discussion for seniors with answers to issues and concerns facing older adults. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 on the topic “Live for Today, Plan for Tomorrow.” Informational material will be available. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., will be celebrating Active Aging with the following activities: Monday, chair massages from 9 to 11 a.m., sign-up required by calling 330-545-6596; Tuesday, a representative from Care Tenders will discuss fall prevention at 9 a.m.; Wednesday, Aging Trivia game seminar with Park Vista at 9 a.m.; Thursday, picture collage (take your favorite pictures to share) at 9 a.m.; and Friday, stretch class and celebration at 9 a.m. The center also is offering a free service on Medicare sponsored by the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIP) at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7. There will be a presentation to learn ways to stay informed with Medicare. It will explain recent changes to Medicare and offer tips on how to enroll for 2015 coverage in a Medicare Part D and/or Medicare health plan. Counseling by appointment only to enroll in a plan will be available Dec. 2 beginning at 9 a.m. Take your Medicare card and a list of prescription drugs to compare plans for 2015 to see if you qualify to save on your prescription drug costs. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., will offer a free lunch and learn program about senior scams on Friday. The luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. and the presentation will follow. Membership is not required for this event. Call the center at 330-544-3676 to register. The center also will host Mary Leep-Pichart from Ohio Senior Health Insurance Program in Columbus to answer questions about Medicare from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30. She will answer questions from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with Debbie Zador, Medicare specialist from S.C.O.P.E. of Trumbull County. A free lunch will be provided at 11:30, and a short talk and time for more questions will follow. Registration is necessary for the lunch; call the center.

Trumbull County Senior Court AARP Driver’s Safety Program offers a certified instructor to provide a review of driving skills and techniques as well as strategies to help seniors adjust to physical changes that may affect their driving ability. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Classes will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Cortland S.C.O.P.E., 125 N.
