Dinner honors Karrs for 50th anniversary

AUSTINTOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Karr of Austintown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner on Sept. 14 at the Fifth Season Banquet Center in Mineral Ridge.

Their son and his wife, David and Kelly Karr live in Dayton. They also have three grandchildren, Micah, Morgan and Riley.

The former Yvonne Ottenberg married Mr. Karr Sept. 19, 1964, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Youngstown.

She retired in 2002 as librarian for Austintown Schools.

The couple are members of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in North Jackson.

Mr. Karr retired in 2001 from Commercial Intertech in Youngstown, where he worked in customer service.

He is a member of the Chatterbox Club and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
