Free adoption care series begins in October

Staff report

WARREN

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services invites Ohio couples or singles to register for the agency’s free Adoption/Foster Care Pre-Placement Education series starting Oct. 7 and continuing until Oct. 27 at its offices at 5000 E. Market St., Suite 26.

Anyone 21 or older who has considered becoming a foster or adoptive parent can find out more about Ohio children and teens served by the child-welfare system.

Participants can learn more about the care, commitment and strategies it takes to become a foster parent.

The sign-up deadline is Sept. 30. If a participant can’t attend a certain session, makeup opportunities are available. Call Cindy Wallis at 800-686-6627, ext. 126, as soon as possible because of limited space.

Get the information packet in the mail and register to see if adoption or becoming a foster parent is the right choice for you and your family. NOAS does not charge fees to families for adoption.

NOAS is a private, nonprofit agency for Ohio families who live within 90 minutes of the Warren office. Since 1978, NOAS has developed families for more than 1,200 children and teens. The agency’s website is www.noas.com.
