ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will gather for a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church Hall, 401 12th St. in Campbell. Harry Meshel will present “Going Places with the Ohio Cultural Alliance: Greece.” Cultural enrichment will include visual images of the cities and islands of Greece. Memberships continue at $25 per person, and the cost for each meeting is $15 for each paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. Reservations may be mailed to OCA, Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406-0561 and must be received no later than Oct. 1. Those attending are encouraged to take nonperishable food items to be given to Protestant Family Services.

ASSOCIATIONS

Guilford Lake Civic Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Guilford Lake Ruritan Hall, Route 172.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will have its second salon from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fresh Grounds Coffee House, Main Street in Greenville. Members and guests will have a book review night. Newcomer’s Club of Mahoning Valley will have a meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nicolinni’s Restaurante in Poland. Call 330-704-0236 for information and reservations. Women who are new in the Mahoning Valley are welcome. The group has various social activities such as monthly birthday celebrations, needlework, book club, and movie and lunch get-togethers. It will feature a Diamond in the Rough Consignment Cafe, a fashion show by Teresa Berich and music by Rachelle Joy. SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals Adult Day Care Center, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman; and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Education Building, 251 S. Broadway Ave., Salem. These meetings are open to caregivers and family members of a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia. There is no charge for attendance. Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, will meet at 7 p.m. tonight and every Friday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland.
