On Aug. 23, the Austintown library hosted its third monthly movie event, showing “Muppets Most Wanted.” The events are free and parents and children are allowed to bring in their own food and drinks for the movie.

“It’s just something fun for families to come in on a Saturday in the afternoon,” said children’s librarian Nikki Puhalla, who presented the movie. “Something different so they can enjoy being together and just kind of hang out. This is one of the newer movies too.”

The prior two movies that were shown were “Frozen” and “The Lego Movie,” so “Muppets Most Wanted” was in the same category.

“It was just a good kids movie to choose because we have to pick ones that are either G or PG rated and we let parents know that too,” Puhalla said.

Puhalla said the movie events are a good way for parents and children to spend time together.

“Just spending time together. Maybe they’ve seen the movie, maybe not,” she said. “It’s just a fun way to spend an afternoon together. Something different, a different kind of program.”
