YOUnify theater seeks recruits

YOUNGSTOWN

YOUnify Theatre Company, the Mahoning Valley’s first LGBTQIA youth-empowerment theater, will have a recruitment event Sept. 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, North Phelps Street, downtown.

YOUnify offers an environment where LGBTQIA youths can be themselves and share their experiences. All workshops are free, fully interactive and facilitated by professional teaching artists and performers. Through storytelling, theater and music, YOUnify educates audiences of all ages on matters of social justice.

YOUnify is open to all lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, queer, questioning and straight allied youth, and everyone in between, from age 14 to 20. For information, go to YOUnifyTheatre.org.
