Golden Corral sets grand reopening

BOARDMAN

The Golden Corral restaurant, 320 Boardman-Poland Road (U.S. Route 224), will have its grand reopening at 10 a.m. Friday. William Sarmiento, general manager, and representatives from the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting.

The restaurant closed in January this year because the former independent franchisee said it wasn’t performing up to expectations.

Sarmiento, who heads the new management team, said the restaurant has a new interior look and will offer new products and foods, including a Mongolian grill. The Golden Corral also will have a breakfast and lunch buffet featuring more than 140 hot and cold food items. The reopening will result in 100 new jobs, the chamber said.

Ribbon-cutting for Goldsteins outlet

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and owner Steve Goldstone will have a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. Friday for the new location of Goldsteins Furniture Outlet, 7392 Market St.

The outlet opened its new 20,000-square-foot facility to the public Aug. 1. “Although it’s just a couple miles away from the previous location, it’s far more convenient for our customers with Southern Park Mall and other stores and businesses close by,” Goldstone said.”

Goldsteins Furniture Outlet features a variety of discontinued floor samples from its showcase stores as well as special purchases at savings up to 73 percent off.
