Christian pop-rock band Newsboys will bring their We Believe tour to Stambaugh Auditorium on Nov. 16 for a 7 p.m. concert.

The tour includes opening acts Family Force 5 and 7eventh Time Down. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at stambaughauditorium.com, at the venue box office at 1000 Fifth Ave. and by phone at 330-259-0555.

Group discounts are available for youth groups and church organizations.

With the release of their latest album, “Restart,” Newsboys are looking to expand the success they have seen since 2010’s “Born Again,” which produced three No. 1 radio hits and 2012’s “God’s Not Dead,” which sold more than 300,000 copies. The band recently added Michael Tait, formerly of dc Talk, as lead singer. He joins Jody Davis (guitars), Duncan Phillips (drums) and Jeff Frankenstein (keyboards).

The new album embraces tight pop, modern rock and worship music and represents a new sound for the group. “The pressure was there to make more of the same,” said Tait in a news release. “It was there from the start. But why not risk something? Why not restart it?”

Since their founding in 1985, Newsboys have produced 16 albums, and earned five RIAA Gold album certifications and 30 No. 1 radio hits, while selling 8 million units. The band has been nominated for four Grammy awards.
