Boardman boys win AAC Red Tier golf title

Brian Terlesky shot a 76 and Cade Kreps made 79 to help the Boardman boys golf team win the Red Tier title at Monday’s All-American Conference tournament at Trumbull Country Club.

Boardman finished with 316, while Poland was second with 327.

Canfield’s Vince Leone shot 73 to earn medalist honors. Austintown Fitch was third with 335.

In the White Tier, Jake Zetterquist shot 78 to earn medalist honors and lead Lakeview to the title, edging Jefferson 338-347. Struthers was third with 356.

LaBrae’s Haylee Harford earned overall medalist honors by shooting a 71 to lead the Vikings to second place in the Blue Tier, finishing behind Newton Falls, 322-329.

Girls

CORTLAND

Kaylee Neumeister shot a 76 to earn medalist honors and lead Lakeview to the Red Tier title at the AAC girls meet at Tamer Win.

Ashley Frasca (85), Taylor Horn (87) and Ryan Rosenberger (94) combined to score 342, two strokes ahead of Boardman, which was led by Jenna Vivo (77) and Jacinta Pikunas (78).

Kerra Loomis made 82 and Christina Cooper 83 for Canfield, which placed third with 349.

In the White Tier, Hubbard’s Skylar Ladig shot 84 to lead the Eagles to the title with 412.

She was the only player in double digits.

Niles was second with 475, followed by Struthers (488).
