St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown will host its annual basket auction on Oct. 5. Doors will open at 2 p.m. and the drawing will be at 4. Donations are $5. Delightful Evangelical Congregational Church, 2473 Barclay Messerly Road, Southington, will host a craft and vendor show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18. It will feature homemade crafts and home party vendors. Crafters and vendors are still needed. Proceeds will benefit the church.

Saxon Ladies Branch 22 is having its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8. It will include a basket raffle, a 50-50 drawing and a light lunch menu. The cost is $30 to rent a table. For information call 330-788-4274.

FESTIVALS/FAIRS

The 2014 Johnny Appleseed Festival in the historic downtown square of Lisbon marks its 47th year on Saturday and Sunday. It will begin with the 5K run at 8 a.m. on the 20th followed by the Grand Parade at 11. Local organizations provide old fashioned apple butter, apple ice cream, apple dumplings, apple fritters and an apple pie baking contest. There will be more than 40 food vendors and 50 crafters. SALES

Boardman Park will have its semi-annual Baby Bargain Boutique from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Masters Pavilion, rain or shine. Admission is free with a nonperishable food item donation for Second Harvest Food Bank. Outdoor spots are still available for $15 for Boardman residents or $20 for nonresidents. Vendors should take tables, and pop-up tents are welcome. Table and chair rental is available. No commercial vendors. Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., next to the Oddfellows Lodge, Canfield, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall. All unsold items will be donated to help local agencies.

East Palestine Rotary Club is seeking vendors for its annual Community Yard Sale from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sept. 27 at East Palestine Park. This event is open to individuals, nonprofit organizations, clubs, churches, youth and civic groups and commercial and craft vendors. Vendors can rent an outdoor space (approximately 15-feet by 15-feet for $10. Sellers will need to take their own tables and other set-up displays. First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will sponsor a rummage sale Oct. 3 and 4. There will be good used clothing, jewelry, toys, small appliances, linens, antiques and collectibles. The sale will include a bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Saturday is $1 per bag day from 9 a.m. to noon.

Good Hope Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Proceeds from the sale will go to the choir and the women’s group of the church. A cancer Relay for Life team will be serving food all day. Soup by the quart and pie slices will be for sale. Kitchen items, toys, furniture, tools, clothes, books and more will be offered for sale. Helping Hands Closet at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has gently used and new back-to-school and college clothing as well as for the entire family each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a 20 percent discount off the entire purchase for all students.

Niles Historical Society will have its annual garage sale at 37 Hartzell Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be miscellaneous items for sale including pictures from Niles’ past.

Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Austintown, across from Meander bridge, will have its semiannual trash and treasure and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Junior Women’s League of Canfield is recruiting vendors for its 45th annual Fall Market on the Canfield Village Green. This year’s event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Vendors including home-based businesses, arts and craft merchandise and nonprofit organizations are welcome.
