Masons to honor Vestal with 33rd degree position

INDIANAPOLIS
On Aug. 21, the Supreme Council of the ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, elected George A. Vestal III to receive the 33rd degree at its session in Aug. 2015, in Indianapolis.
The honorary degree is awarded for active service in Masonry, particularly the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and to those masons who have been outstanding leaders in their communities in service to their fellow man.
Vestal is a past master of Wick Lodge 481 in Youngstown and has served his lodge as treasurer in 2002 and as secretary from 2003 to 2010.
He has served the Valley of Youngstown, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite as Thrice Potent Master of Hiram Lodge of Perfection from 2006 to 2007 and serves as orator of the Mahoning Consistory.
Vestal also is active in the Youngstown Shrine Club and Christ Church, Boardman, where he is a church elder.
A graduate of South Range Schools, Vestal is a laundry warewash chemical technician and is the owner of food concessions. He and his wife, the former Lori Blick, have two children, George A Vestal IV and Amanda M. Vestal.
