A 21-year-old Hermitage, Pa., man is in the Mahoning County jail, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and felonious assault.
Police Chief Robin Lees said a group of people from Western Pennsylvania and Warren got into an argument at a downtown bar that continued to a parking lot on Phelps Street across the street from city hall. A man shot another in the hand, Lees said. The injury wasn’t life-threatening, the chief said.
A police report said Dominque Greene of Parke Drive in Hermitage was charged with the two felonies.
The shooting occurred at about 2:20 a.m. this morning.
The four other men — ages 18 to 20 from Hermitage and Sharon — were questioned. They’ve not been charged with a crime at this time, Lees said.
The handgun police say was used in the shooting was found in the car with the five men. During questioning, police determined Greene was the shooter, Lees said.
