Local non-profit to host hoedown

Canfield Community Care Net has announced its first CCCN Hoedown fundraising event. Set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 10, guests will be able to kick up their heels for a good cause in an authentic atmosphere. The event will take place at “The Barn,” located at 15210 W. Pine Lake Road in Salem. The hoedown will feature a country-style meal, cash bar, spirits auction, music/dancing, mechanical bull riding and more. Tickets will be $45 per person, and are available by calling 330-207-6733 or visiting CanfieldCommunityCareNet.org.

Event details are still being finalized by Canfield Community Care Net. However, the organization has announced some specifics. The evening will feature a country-style, from-scratch dinner menu, seasonal desserts, and a cash bar. In addition, a Signature Drink complementary of the Fall season will be available for purchase. A “Spirits Auction” will be held offering guests the opportunity to purchase a bottle of liquor as entry into a special prize drawing; liquor options will tie in with the theme of the night, with the potential for guests to take home some legal “moonshine.”

For entertainment, CCCN is hoping to feature a Bluegrass band to play live music, along with a caller to announce some special organized dances. After dinner and dessert, a DJ will take requests. There will also be a mechanical bull.

Those interested in purchasing tickets should visit CanfieldCommunityCareNet.org or call 330-207-6733. More information will be posted to the organization’s website. You can also get more information by liking the CCCN Facebook page at Facebook.com/CanfieldCommunityCareNet. Details will be shared there as they are confirmed.

CCCN is currently seeking business sponsorships to cover the cost of the bull rental; a limited number of sponsorships are available. The Hoedown Committee is currently working on additional entertainment activities such as corn hole, a photo booth and more. Local businesses are encouraged to reach out to the group for sponsorship opportunities. There will be various ways to advertise at the event. Canfield Community Care Net is also grateful to personal donors, as well as volunteers. You can email Hoedown@CanfieldCommunityCareNet.org to help or get more information.
