A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Sept. 2

Drug abuse: Police arrested Carrie Haddox, 34, of Portsmouth, Ohio, on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments.

Sept. 3

Arrest: Police arrested Daniel Novak, 28, of Russo Drive, Canfield, on a charge of public indecency after they said he was urinating in a yard.

Sept. 4

Drug abuse: Police arrested Michael Wahl, 32, of Lakemore, Ohio, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept.5

Drug abuse: Police arrested Matthew Lombel, 33, of South Timberidge Drive, on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments, and Janet Davis, 31, of Mathews Road, Boardman, on a drug-abuse charge.

Warrant: Police arrested Daniel Novak, 28, of Russo Drive, on a warrant for failure to appear in court to answer a charge of public indecency.

Arrest: Fidel Syrianoudis, 20, Revere Run, Canfield, surrendered to police on a warrant from mayor’s court for failure to appear for a hearing.

Sept. 6

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Nicholas DePizzo, 32, of Wesley Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

Sept. 1

Breaking and entering: A front window was broken and entry was gained at Belleria Pizza, 3460 S. Meridian Road.

Recovered property: An ATM card was recovered in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Police arrested Daniel Aiken, 34, of Ravenna, on a charge of theft for reportedly taking $90.70 in merchandise by making a fraudulent return at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., and on a Kent State police warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial.

Sept. 2

Counterfeit currency: A $20 bill was passed at Shell/True North, 1701 S. Raccoon Road.

Unauthorized transaction: An unauthorized transaction was made to an account at a home in the 900 block of Collins Street.

Theft: An iPod was taken from a student at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Lorayne Sangregorio, 53, of Woodhurst Boulevard, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia at a Mahoning Avenue bar.

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Dennis Brace, 34, of Spring Meadow Circle, Austintown on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Sept. 3

Fraud: Fraudulent bank card charges were made on an account by the homeowner in the 300 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Larry Mayfield, 55, of West Indianola Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 4

Theft: Two unlocked vehicles were broken into and miscellaneous change stolen at a home in the 300 block of Almerinda Drive. A pink bag also was taken from the home.

Recovered property: A black Nine West purse was recovered at PNC bank, 4999 Mahoning Ave.

Theft/recovered property: A man took beverages from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave., which were later recovered.

Assault: Two females got into a fight at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Joshua Sudano, 22, of Hoyle Road, Berlin Center, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Sept. 5

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Heather Campbell, 22, of White Beech Lane, Austintown, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Vehicle theft: A 2011 Kawasaki Prairie 360 all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Fraud: An unauthorized withdrawal was made from an account of the homeowner in the 100 block of Fair Meadow Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Devlin Simpson, 21, of Lexington Place on three active warrants for aggravated burglary, domestic violence, and criminal damaging.

Lost or stolen property: A router was lost at or from a home in the 70 block of South Anderson Avenue.

Sept. 6

Theft: A trash can was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Pimlico Drive.

Theft: A woman’s bank card was stolen by her boyfriend from her home in the 100 block of Aldrich Road.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Lisa Ruiz, 45, of Callaway Circle, on a theft charge. Police accused her of taking six pieces of merchandise from Walmart.

Burglary: A storage unit was broken into by a neighbor in another unit and a television was confiscated in the 100 block of Aldrich Road.

Warrant: Police arrested William Matsouris, 21, of North Roanoke Avenue, on a warrant for a theft charge.

Sept. 7

Criminal damaging: A makeup bottle was thrown at a truck in the 200 block of Parkgate Avenue.
