YOUNGSTOWN

Joree Joy Jacobs and Dr. Ryan Robert Novotny, both of Columbus, are planning an October wedding, his parents are announcing.

Her parents are Scott and Jodee Jacobs of Macedonia, Ohio, and his parents are Michael and Carrie Novotny of Youngstown.

Invitations have been issued for the wedding ceremony to take place at 2 p.m. Oct. 4 at St. Christine Church. Invitations also have been issued for an evening reception at the Youngstown Country Club.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in professional writing and editing. She is director of communications and grant management for the Ohio Association of Foodbanks in Columbus.

Her fiancé graduated from Ohio State University with a doctor of pharmacy degree. He is a phamacist for Walgreens.
