Mahoning commissioners approve borrowing more than $6M for projects
YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County commissioners today approved borrowing up to more than $6 million for a host of projects, including water-supply and sanitary-sewer installations and a new dog shelter.
For projects in Milton Township, they approved the issuance of notes in anticipation of bonds for up to $390,000 worth of water-supply lines and up to $575,000 worth of sanitary-sewer lines and related improvements.
The commissioners also approved the issuance and sale of bonds for up to $1,015,000 for renovations to the newly purchased dog shelter building at 1230 N. Meridian Road in Austintown and up to $760,000 for renovations and improvements at Oakhill Renaissance Place, including acquisition of a new generator.
