Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY
Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $6 per dinner. Drive up to the door, and someone will bring your dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits are used for local mission projects.
Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50, and they will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers are provided.
FRIDAY
Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.
Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Frozen pirogi also will be sold. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.
Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.
SATURDAY
Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Fowler, will serve a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Menu consists of chicken pie, potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12, preschool eats free. Takeouts are available. Call 330-638-5189.
Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will sell homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for takeout only at the church. The sauce will be sold by the quart for $4 or one quart with 4 meatballs for $6. Call the church to order at 330 707-9031.
Negley Masonic Lodge, 50873 Richardson Ave. (state Route 154), will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.
New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will have a drive-through dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The meal consists of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and a brownie for $8. Drive to the front of the church to order; there is no need to get out of your car.
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 348 Robbins Ave., Niles, will host a roast beef dinner with a salad bar and ice cream sundae bar from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30. The cost is $9 for adults, $3.50 for children and free for kids under 5. Call 330-652-4057 for tickets or pay at the door.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica on Via Mount Carmel will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. All carryouts are $7.50; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own.
TAKING ORDERS
First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, is taking orders for 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $8 each, potato soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, and fresh-baked bread for $2 a large loaf and $1.50 a small loaf. Orders can be placed by calling 330-647-7515 and are due by Sept. 18. Pickup will be between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the church.
UPCOMING
Auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles 3298, 1655 Raccoon Road, Austintown, will serve a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at the aerie. The meal is sit-down or takeout and costs $10. The menu consists of two stuffed cabbages, corn, mashed potatoes, haluski, dessert and coffee or tea.
