Credit-card misuse reported in Campbell

CAMPBELL — City police are investigating a report of alleged credit card misuse.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Princess Street. There, a 48-year-old resident told police her 25-year-old son got her credit-card number while visiting the house and was using it to make purchases through a Sirius XM Radio account without her permission.

The three nonapproved purchases, made from July 14 to Sept. 5, totaled almost $100.

The woman said she canceled the radio account and also that she made her bank aware of the fraudulent purchases.
