Artists group plans fall show
WARREN
The Independent Artist Association will host its fall show from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Hidden Cafe, 4248 N. River Road (across from the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum).
Pittsburgh rock band Good Brother Earl will perform at the free event, which will have wine tastings and sample appetizers for guests. The cafe will also offer a special menu that night for dine-in or carry-out orders. Many of the artists’ works, including paintings and photography prints, will be available for purchase.
The IAA is a collective of artists who have previously shown their work both locally and nationally.
Free piano recital at Bliss Hall
YOUNGSTOWN
Sean Schulze, a piano faculty member at the Cleveland Institute of Music, will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Bliss Recital Hall, inside Bliss Hall, on the Youngstown State University campus.
The program is titled “An Evening With Debussy.” Schulze will provide a brief introduction to the composer and background to this musical style before performing selections from Debussy’s Preludes Book 2.
Schulze teaches applied piano to music majors and nonmajors at Case Western Reserve University. He also teaches piano pedagogy and piano literature at CIM and serves as chair of CIM’s nationally recognized preparatory piano department. For information, call the Dana School of Music at 330-941-3636.
Packard Band plans concert

The Packard Band, led by Thomas A. Groth, will present “Around the Musical World,” a free concert, at 3 p.m. Sunday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.
The program will include music from Spain, England, Italy, Ireland, Korea, Mexico and Russia.
