Outdoor Family Day planned at park


BOARDMAN

Boardman Park is planning Outdoor Family Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is free with a nonperishable food item donation for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Activities for the whole family will include archery, duck blind demo, taxidermy animals, live snakes, wagon rides, a live band and more.

Children will learn how to fish; the first 200 kids will get a free fishing pole.

Food concessions will be available.

Camping out under the stars with local Boy Scout Troop 60 will be available that night until 9 a.m. Sept. 14; take your tents and sleeping bags. Check-in and tent set-up starts at 6 p.m. Registration fee for the camp out is $7 per family.

There will be a campfire, hot dog dinner, s’mores, movie and more.
