'Mayhem' outside Warren tavern injures 2
WARREN
Police say a fight outside a West Market Street tavern and two cars passing in front of the tavern shooting at each other may have been unrelated.
And a woman who crashed her vehicle into people outside of the tavern may have only occurred because of the chaos from the two other incidents and possible drunken driving.
In all, the 4:59 a.m. incidents near the Boogie Down Club, 2382 West Market Street, represented “mayhem,” Lt. Dan Mason said.
Later at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital, a 19-year-old Ogden Avenue Northwest woman was found to have a gunshot wound to her foot.
At St. Elizabeth Health Center, a 20-year-old Hamilton Street Southwest woman was being treated for a broken pelvis from being hit by the car.
And a 21-year-old Fairport Harbor man was in critical condition at University Hospitals in Cleveland with injuries he sustained from being hit by the car.
The woman driving the car that struck the two victims near the Boogie Down was found near the accident scene later and taken into custody with charges, possibly including drunken driving, expected to be filed today.
The individuals reportedly shooting at each other from the two passing motor vehicles have not been identified, police said.
