Y-town Playhouse to stage 90th season
YOUNGSTOWN
“A Chorus Line,” the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical, will lead off the historic 90th season of the Youngstown Playhouse.
The production is directed and choreographed by David Jendre, who also will perform the role of the director and choreographer in the musical.
For many years the longest-running show on Broadway, “A Chorus Line” is the groundbreaking musical that examines the hopes, fears and dreams of 17 dancers competing for eight spots in a Broadway show.
Paul Ryan Byrne assists Jendre in addition to playing “Larry.” Matthew White serves as musical director and conductor. Leslie Brown will stage manage the production.
The cast includes Jarrett Kerpsack, Emily Schrader, Matthew Malloy, Snezana Jelic, Stacy Anderson, Laura Fedina, Joshua William Green, Joanna Andrei, Jackie Collins Stevens, James Major Burns, Donny Wolford, Emily Scott, Emelia Sherin, Stephen Hall, Nathan Tustin, Rosie Jo Neddy, Claire Blackledge, Kathleen Sanfrey, Caitlin Kalasky, Zeddy Monnette, Isaiah Shelton, and Darian Shawn Brogdon. Jacinda Madison and Starr E. McClure are vocalists.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14. Shows also will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18-20.
