Grandparents Day
YOUNGSTOWN
The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative and Ohio Organizing Collaborative are sponsoring a Grandparents Day celebration from 3 to 6 p.m. today, which is national Grandparents Day, at Klip and Klippers Barbershop, 2301 Hillman St.
In the United States, where more than 7 million grandparents are the primary caretakers of children under 18 and remain a vital part of the workforce, the celebration marks an opportunity to respond to the needs of Ohio’s aging population and represents a continued call for an investment in infrastructure and jobs that enable grandparents and all seniors in Ohio to age with dignity, officials said.
