Dinner honors Brayers for their 50th anniversary

Ken and Fran Brayer of Boardman marked the 50th anniversary of their wedding at a family dinner Aug. 1 at McCormick and Schmick’s Restaurant in Columbus.

Hosting the festivities were their children, Tina Tracy and Cherie Mraz of Granville, Ohio; and Becky (Dave) Farr of Wexford, Pa.

The couple have four grandchildren, Megan and Jonathan Mraz and Brandon and Joshua Farr.

Mrs. Brayer, the former Fran Antalocy, is a homemaker and a former teacher. She belongs to St. Michael Parish in Canfield, where she serves as a Eucharistic minister and wedding coordinator. She is a member of the YSU Alumni Society and Youngstown Panhellenic Association.

Mr. Brayer retired from Jostens Inc. & Walsworth Publishing, where he was a yearbook sales representative. He is a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, where he serves as an elder. He is a member of the YSU Alumni Society and is a Lowellville High School yearbook adviser. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

The Brayers were married Aug. 1, 1964, at Holy Trinity Church in Struthers.
