WARREN
Warren crime data is now just a computer click away.
For about a month, the city has been feeding police reports to an online service called www.raidsonline.com.
Police reports are uploaded to the free website daily, making it possible for citizens to look up specific streets or neighborhoods or addresses and find out how much and what type of crime has been occurring.
The service allows the viewer to look at brief or longer time periods and to select the types of crimes they want to search.
It also allows the viewer to jot down a report number so that they can obtain a copy of the report at the Warren Police Department.
And they can select a link to a specific crime and email anonymous information about the crime to Sgt. Geoff Fusco of the Warren Police Department.
Fusco said the service can be valuable to anyone looking to move into Warren or move to another neighborhood in the city so that they can be informed about the amount and kinds of crime in that area.
The service is not costing the city any money, Fusco said.
