Scholarship recipient is honored

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kayla Malmfeldt of Lake Milton, center, the newest recipient of a scholarship from the Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association, was honored at the chapter’s Aug. 12 meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Malmfeldt was class valedictorian at Jackson-Milton High School. She is now a junior at the University of Akron. Her mother, Kelly Sites, also of Lake Milton, is on the left, and her great-grandmother, Mary Jane Long, of Austintown, a long-time member of the chapter, is at right. Scholarships also were renewed for Carly Graff of Boardman, a nursing student at Youngstown State University, and for Hilary Allen of Canfield, an Ohio State University student.
