A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Aug. 29

Warrant: Police arrested Dan Raber, 52, of Southview Road, Canfield, on a failure-to-appear warrant from Columbiana County Sheriff for contempt of court.

Warrant: Police arrested Ryan Thompson, 22, of Howard Street, Youngstown, for failure to appear warrant on a traffic charge.

Aug. 30

Drugs: Police arrested Charles Hostettler, 20, of state Route 5, Ravenna, on a charge of drug possession and drug paraphernalia.

Warrant: Joseph Burke, 18, of Joyce Anne Drive, Austintown, surrendered to authorities on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

AUSTINTOWN

Aug. 25

Breaking and entering: A window was broken out and $3,628 was stolen from at Vivo III Metals, 340 N. Meridian Road.

Criminal mischief: Obscene drawings and words in chalk were reported at Kerrybrook Townhomes, 1755 S. Raccoon Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card at a home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.

Breaking and entering: A male and female broke into Barry Dyngles Pub, 1601 S. Raccoon Road and attempted to take the safe. They fled the scene.

Burglary: Three guns were taken from underneath a bed at a home in the 1000 block of Idaho Road,

Burglary: Pills and cash were taken at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Samuel Tush, 20, of Bainbridge Avenue, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Shawntaya Figueroa, 27, of Mill Creek Drive, Boardman, on a marijuana-possession charge.

Menacing: Menacing was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Aug. 26

Criminal damaging: A door frame was damaged from a burglary attempt at Hillbrook Apartments, 472 S. Raccoon Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Tabatha Noble, 19, of South Main Street, on a warrant for receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Anthony Miller, 26, of South Main Street, on a warrant for criminal trespassing and probation violation.

Recovered property: Two GPS units were recovered at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.

Theft: Women’s clothing was stolen from a home in the 800 block of Compass West.

Criminal damaging: A door frame was damaged after an attempted burglary at Hillbrook Apartments, 472 S. Raccoon Road.

Assault: A female was assaulted by an ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend at state Route 46 and Interstate 80.

Aug. 27

Theft: A total of $400 in change was stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Theft: A Social Security card was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Vassar Avenue.

Breaking and entering: An air-conditioning unit was taken from a home in the 20 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Vincent Carosella, 51, of Overlook Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of unauthorized use of property.

Theft: Bad checks were passed to pay for services at Dutchess Cleaners, 5513 Mahoning Ave.

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Joseph Polish, 37, of Evans Avenue, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Theft: Police arrested Brittany Thomas, 25, of Lakewood Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of theft and obstructing official business at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. Police said she had $115.32 in merchandise on her.

Aggravated burglary: A resident in the 800 block of Compass West reported being robbed and injured.

Recovered property: A debit card was recovered at Home Savings and Loan, 4259 Kirk Road.

Aug. 28

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Lindsey Martin, 19, of Rosemont Avenue, on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of drug-abuse instruments.

Drug offense: Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found at New and Idaho roads.

Theft: Hubcaps were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: Entry was gained through a bedroom window and several items stolen from a home in the 500 block of Westgate Boulevard.

Theft: Police arrested Carlene Silver, 35, of Westchester Drive, and Timothy Banks, 20, of Youngstown, on charges of theft at Walmart. Police accused banks of taking $118.27 in merchandise and Silver of taking $73.75 in merchandise.

Breaking and entering: Copper pipes were taken from a home in the 2000 block of South Turner Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Korie Ball, 24, of West Middletown Road, Salem, on a warrant for criminal damaging of a windshield.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Craig Wilson, 41, of Western Reserve Road, Salem, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 29

Arrest: Police arrested Niklis Wilson, 30, of South Edgehill Avenue, on a charge of domestic violence.

Theft: A lost ATM card was used to withdraw funds from an account of the homeowner in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Burglary: Police arrestedJason Chappell, 41, of Kleber Avenue, on charges of criminal damaging endangering and burglary; Fletcher Morgan, 26, of Chestnut Street, Struthers, on charges of criminal damaging, endangering and criminal trespassing; and Austin Chappell, 18, of Parkview Drive, Hubbard, on charges of criminal trespassing, criminal damaging and endangering. Police accused them of damaging a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested William Matsouris, 21, of Meanderwood Drive, Canfield, on a warrant for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and complicity to criminal damage.

Warrant: Police arrested Vito Weeks, 21,of Claridge Drive, on a warrant charging assault.

Theft: A man stole razor blades from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Stolen property: An Ohio license was stolen from Vinylume, 3795 Hendricks Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Ryan Thompson, 22, of Howard Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic charge.

Vehicle theft: A 2006 United Motors Sport Moto 200 motorcycle was stolen from a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: An employee is accused of theft at Walmart.

Aug. 30:

Drug offense: Police arrested Michael Witherow, 27, of Young Road, Warren, on a summons for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Teejay Johnson, 24, of Woodcrest Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Theft: A 14-inch black/green boys bicycle was stolen from a home in the 500 block of Western Place.

Theft: A cellphone was reported stolen from the bar at Sammy’s, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.

Fraud: Identity theft was reported through the Internal Revenue Service for a person in a home in the 100 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 40 block of North Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Orkney Avenue.

Arrest: Police arrested Nicholas Kaley, 25, of Grandview Road, Lake Milton, on a charge of obstructing official business.

Theft: An undetermined amount of money was taken from a vehicle parked at a home in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Andra Pugh, 54, of Adelaide Avenue, Warren, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Aug. 31

Lost or stolen property: A wallet was reported lost or stolen by a person in a home in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Theft: A total of $48.70 in fuel was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
