WARREN

The Trumbull County coroner has ruled the death of Sierra Giovannone-Roberts, 23, of North Greenville Road in Cortland, accidental.

Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County coroner, ruled she died of acute heroin intoxication.

Her unclothed body was found at Pershing Avenue and Choctaw Avenue Southwest at 9 p.m. June 27 and was discovered by a woman and her daughter.

Her body had scratches and bruises, but they were not the cause of her death, the coroner said.

The Warren Police Department declined to comment on whether police are pursuing criminal charges in the matter, saying it is still under investigation.

Giovannone-Roberts was the daughter of Warren police Capt. Timothy Roberts and Amy Jo Giovannone.
