Colts sweep Little Falcons

The Austintown Colts hosted the battle of Austintown on Aug. 31 at Fitch Stadium and came up victorious on all three levels.

The 100 pound team offense scored early with Dominic Perry taking the touchdown in for the Colts. The Colts defense was led by Sergio Marinelli and Michael Wilkey. Touchdowns by Phillip Bowser, JR Andalusian and Dominic Perry, with a 2-point conversion by Jordan Schisler led to the Colts to a 22-0 win over the Little Falcons. The 100 pound junior varsity team came in with their own victory as well against the Falcons.

The Colts 120 pound team followed suit with a 24-8 win, with touchdown runs by Donovan Oliver, CJ Schisler and two toughdowns from Devon Winford.

Austintown Colts 140 pound team’s victory finalized the day for a clean sweep of the Falcons with a 36-0 win. Touchdowns were made by Julian Johnson, Shakir Perkins, Alec Herman, KyRee Long and CJ Woodberry, while the entire Colts defense had a great game as they kept the little Falcons scoreless.

The Colts will play the Howland Little Tigers at Fitch on Sept. 7 beginning at noon.
