When a second employee came out of the back room, the gunman ordered her to put her hands up and stand beside the other employee. He stuffed about $300 in his pants pockets and left.

City man says shots were fired at him

YOUNGSTOWN

A North Side man said he was shot at Monday evening on New York Avenue near his residence. The 40-year-old victim told police he was unable to identify the male shooter, who fired at him from down the street, but he believes the 9:33 p.m. shooting may have resulted from a lover’s quarrel. A neighbor verified that she heard the gunfire, the police report said. There were no injuries.

The victim told police he saw a silver Chrysler, possibly an Intrepid, with chrome rims and a burned-out taillight and temporary tag pull up near his house as the shooting occurred. The victim said he did not get a good look at the shooter and could only offer details about the car.
