Wearing orange

YOUNGSTOWN

During Hunger Action Month in September, Feeding America and Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, a member of Feeding America’s nationwide network of 200 food banks, are asking the community to “Paint the Valley Orange” by wearing orange Thursday to raise awareness about hunger here and across the nation.

Orange is the symbolic color of hunger.

They also ask that people tag their orange photos to www.facebook.com/SHFBMV.

The food bank also is looking for companies, organizations and schools to conduct food drives and/or fundraisers during September. For information on how to get involved and about the food bank, call 330-792-5522 or visit www.mahoningvalleysecondharvest.org.
