Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, in collaboration with four local insurance companies and the Allegheny County Office of Behavioral Health, has launched a comprehensive Pregnancy Recovery Center to provide concurrent treatment for opiate dependence and prenatal care and delivery.

The program provides pregnant women who struggle with an opiate dependence the opportunity to begin treatment with buprenorphine on an outpatient basis that is integrated with their obstetric services. Like methadone, buprenorphine is a drug used to treat opioid addiction. In addition, patients will receive behavioral counseling and clinic visits as well as routine prenatal care.

New form needed

WASHINGTON (AP)

If you got health coverage through President Barack Obama’s law this year, you’ll need a new form from your insurance exchange before you can file your tax return next spring.

The Health and Human Services Department must send out millions of the forms, which are like W-2s for people getting tax credits to help pay health insurance premiums.

The form is called 1095-A, and it’s supposed to be delivered by Jan. 31.
