Seminars address end-of-life issues
POLAND
“Christianity and the End of Life” is the topic of a series of seminars planned Wednesdays, Sept. 10 through Nov. 5, at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road.
Dinner will be at 5 p.m. with the sessions from 6 to 7.

Sept. 10, “Biblical Understanding of Death” by the Rev. Kristin Stroble.
Sept. 17, “Death in the Christian Tradition” by the Rev. Stroble.
Sept. 24, “Act III by PV: What to look for in Housing Options for Nursing Care and Assisted Living” by Beth Ann Tabak of Park Vista.
Oct. 1, “Courageous Conversations: Learning about Living Wills and Power of Attorney” by Connie Morgan, social worker.
Oct. 8, “Medical Decisions at the End of Life” by Dr. John Venglarcik.
Oct. 15, “Your Financial Journey — Drive Safely — Planning Your Estate” by Frank Snyder, financial adviser with Wells Fargo advisers.
Oct. 22, “Hospice Care” by Senior Independence.
Oct. 29, “Funeral Arrangements” by Kelly Beck and Daniel Madden of Becker Funeral Homes.
Nov. 5, “The Christian Funeral Worship Service” by the Rev. Stroble.

Classes in Italian language available
YOUNGSTOWN
Beginning and advanced classes in Italian are being offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown.
Registration and the first day of class is Sept. 25. Classes end Dec. 18.
