Justin Moore set to perform tonight
The 168th Canfield Fair will conclude today with an 8 p.m. concert at the grandstand featuring country performer Justin Moore and special guest Randy Houser. Moore last appeared in the area in November, when he headlined a concert at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. Tickets are still available and range in price from $30 to $50. The fair’s box office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and tickets can also be purchased online by visiting the Canfield Fair’s website, www.canfieldfair.com.
Rooster-crowing contest this morning
The Canfield Fair’s rooster-crowing contest will take place at 9:30 this morning in the South Ring. The contest began in 1962, and its format is still the same today: Participating roosters have 30 minutes to crow; whichever rooster crows the most in that time wins the contest. Owners are permitted to entice their birds to elicit more crows.
