Teens face burglary charges in Campbell
CAMPBELL — Two juveniles face future hearings in Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center after police said they broke into a Reed Avenue home and stole several items.
Police received a call at 7:41 p.m. Thursday from the Reed Avenue homeowner about a burglary in process. The resident told police he saw two individuals fleeing from the house when he was returning home. Upon entering his residence, the homeowner noticed that a PlayStation3 and several items of jewelry were missing.
When police arrived, they found Mathue O’Malley, 17, of Campbell on 15th Street, not far from the Reed Avenue home. After questioning O’Malley on the burglary, police said O’Malley tried to hide his identity. Police noticed a PlayStation3 on the corner of 15th Street.
Police arrested O’Malley on felony charges of burglary and misdemeanor charges of falsifying his identity and obstructing official business.
Police saw Jerome Williams, 15, of Youngstown approach the scene a few minutes later. After police questioned Williams on the burglary, police said they found two gold watches and a gold necklace on him. Police also found a PlayStation3 on the corner of 15th and Gordon Avenue.
Police arrested Williams on felony charges of burglary.
