ASSOCIATIONS

Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet Nov. 12 at A La Cart Catering, Canfield. A social begins at 5:30, and dinner at 6 p.m. A buffet dinner will consist of turkey and dressing, baked ham, baked fish, mashed potatoes, buttered green beans with garlic, tossed salad, applesauce, gelatin salad, pumpkin cake and tea or coffee. Girard High School Band Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will meet at noon Wednesday for lunch at Bedford Trails Golf Course.

Campbell Memorial Class of 1955 will have its monthly breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ in the Mathews Road Plaza in Boardman. Classmates, mates and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for its Christmas dinner Dec. 10 at Caffe Capri in Boardman. Classes of 1950 and 1952 are invited. CLUBS

Poland Center Homemakers will meet for lunch Wednesday at Windsor House. Members will carpool from Struthers plaza at 10:30 a.m. Take a birthday card.

Warren Women’s Connection will host a Country Fair Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road N.E., Warren. Free nursery is available with a reservation. Marty Campana, auctioneer, will be featured. There also will be a basket auction and baked goods. Music will be provided by Karen Burkhart, who also will speak about Breaking Up with Approval Seeking. The cost is $13 per person. LEAGUES

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Glenellen Assisted Living, 9661 Market St., Boardman. Members should take an item for a tea basket that will be used for a drawing at the Downton Abbey tea Nov. 15 at Poland Library. Hostesses are Tina Bellino, Linda Fabian and Nina Lowery. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Community Christian Women will meet at First Christian Church in Columbiana on Nov. 10. Speaker/singer Rod Truman will present “Through It All” — a testimony of unbelievable health problems. Truman, a former Crestview coach, lives in Solon, Ohio. A lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. for a donation of $7. Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at its hall, 122 N. State St.

Junior Seton Circle will have its monthly meeting at noon Nov. 13 followed by a luncheon at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The program will be a comedy skit by Janice Ligenza.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County meets each Wednesday at 6 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. in Canfield. Guests and new members are welcome. The speaker at this meeting will be Cynthia Anderson from the Butler Institute of American Art.

SOCIETIES

Beta Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society will meet Thursday at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 N. Main St., Niles. The theme will be World Fellowship and there will be a silent auction as part of the fundraising program. Members are asked to take an auction item.

Girard Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barnhisel House, 1011 N. State St.

McDonald Historical Society will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday at the McDonald Retirement Complex.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Medical Center, Medical Office Building A, 500 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown. The meeting is free and open to all caregivers and family members of a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia. Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 Main St., Greenville, Pa., and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Children’s Rehabilitation Center, 855 Howland-Wilson Road, Howland. These meetings are open to caregivers and family members of a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or other form of dementia. There is no charge for attendance. For information call 330-788-9755.

Youngstown Area Ostomy Support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Humility House, 755 Ohltown Road, Austintown. Charles A. Thorne, Ph.D., will discuss the emotional and psychological aspects of living with an ostomy. Dr. Thorne is a clinical psychologist with an extensive background in family health. He has served as associate director of the family medicine residency program at St. Elizabeth Health Center, director of the behavioral science division of the Family Health Center at St. E’s, and psychologist for the pain clinic and acute rehabilitation departments at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

VETERANS
